Adorno as a Socialist was very against populated cultures and expressed negative connotations towards ideas of Capitalism. The theorist believed that popular culture feeds Capitalism and our constant consumption of it only keeps Capitalists in control. He argued that the culture industry, which produced and circulated
cultural commodities through the mass media, manipulated the population. He generalised that the root of all the world's social and moral problems was the public's view on popular culture and that the pop industry stops the public from worrying about 'real' issues.
