An undisputed veteran of video, Stuart has over sixteen years experience across most creative disciplines including photography, fine art and design. Having built up an impressive body of work as an award-winning director, his unwavering dedication to directing is demonstrated through his captivating delivery. Constantly exploring new creative outlets, Stuart works across multiple platforms from documentary to film, music to advertising. At the moment, he’s developing feature length drama and installation alongside his bread and butter of music promos.

This director specialises in the hard rock/ metal genre, directing music videos for artists such as Young Guns, Architects and Bullet for my Valentine. The director also uses lighting to his advantage to display wide contrast in his music video whilst portraying the mood set by the music (usually aggressivge/negative). Birchal has also directed for Bring Me The Horizon in the past, shooting their song "Alligator Blood". This song isn't exactly the same sub genre as Royal Blood, my chosen artist, but the themes seen in the video are similar to those that I wish to show in mine such as gambling and smart costume:
